Frequently asked questions
Is the service really free?
Yes. All of our advice and assistance is free of charge. We are a not-for-profit community legal centre funded to help people who cannot afford a private lawyer.
Do I need an appointment?
Most of our services run by appointment so we can match you with the right lawyer. Some services, such as our duty service at court, are available on the day. Contact us and we will let you know the best option.
What areas of law do you help with?
We assist with tenancy, employment, family and consumer matters. If your issue falls outside these areas, we will do our best to refer you to another service that can help.
Is my information kept confidential?
Yes. Anything you tell us is confidential and is not shared without your consent, except where we are required to by law.
